W.B.Yeats 1865 - 1939. A una isla en el agua / To an isle in the water

Tímida, tímida
Tímida de mi corazón
Se mueve a la luz del fuego
Pensativa y distante.

Acarrea los platos
Y los coloca en hilera
A una isla en el agua
Querría llevármela

Acarrea las velas
É iluminó la penumbra
Tímida en el umbral
Y tímida en las sombras

Y tímida como un conejo
Servicial y tímida
A una isla en el lago
Querría volar con ella.

Shy one, shy one,
Shy one of my heart,
She moves in the firelight
Pensively apart.

She carries in the dishes,
And lays them in a row.
To an isle in the water
With her would I go.

She carries in the candles,
And lights the curtained room,
Shy in the doorway
And shy in the gloom;

And shy as a rabbit,
Helpful and shy.
To an isle in the water
With her would I fly.
